Thes records say that he had one previous mariage and she none. Married by Emit Mason minister of United Presbyterian Church..5 He married Catherine R. Metzger at Saline, Washtenaw County, MI, USA, on 15 May 1908. Ernest Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1910 at Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, MI. The census lists the family as: Ernest Hotchkin, 35 (1874), married once, 2 years, farmer, both parents born in MI; wife Catherine, 43, Married twice, 6 children 6 living, born Germany, both parents born in Germany, naturized in 1883.. He was a Teamster in 1910. He died on 14 August 1914 at Univ. Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, MI, USA, at age 39.6,7,3 He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, at Saline, Washtenaw County, MI, USA. Plot A-5.

There is no information as to the identify of M. J. Hotchkin.

Their marriage record says that they had both been married once before. They were married by Edwin French MG, the marriage witnessed by Sarah French..2 Ella died on 1 November 1946 at Spring Arbor, Jackson County, MI, USA, at age 75.3 She was buried at Spring Arbor Cemetery, at Spring Arbor, Jackson County, MI, USA. Hugh Jerome Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1900 at Chicago, Cook County, IL, USA. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Hugh J, age 13, born 11-1886 in SD.. He registered for the World War I Draft on 12 September 1918 while living at Chicago, Cook County, IL, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "He gives his complete name and birth on 23 Nov 1885. He is unemployed and gives his father Frank E. and nearest relative.". He resided at Chicago, Cook County, IL, in 1928. He married Anne Marie Petek on 22 May 1942 at Chicago, Cook County, IL. Hugh Jerome Hotchkin died on 12 April 1960 at Santa Ana, Orange County, CA, USA, at age 74.3,4 He was buried at Fairhaven Memorial Park, at Santa Ana, Orange County, CA, USA.

The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Robert, 29, NY, clerk in store; Nellie, 24, keep house, NY; Dana, 4, NY, at home. All are listed as boarders in home of William Benson, 29, a grocer.. He resided at St Joseph, Berrien County, MI, USA, in 1900. He was employed in 1915 at Tacoma, Pierce County, WA, USA, as a box factory worker. He died on 10 June 1934 at Tacoma, Pierce County, WA, at age 82.5,6 He was buried at Waterville Cemetery, at Waterville, Oneida County, NY, USA. The Death Certificates of both Robert and Nellie show that they were cremated in Tacoma, WA; yet their names appear on the mounument in the Eli Hotchkin plot of Waterville Cemetery.7
At the 1880 census, the family was living in Putnam Co., Fl with William Benson. Benson was a Grocer and Robert worked in his store as a Clerk. At the 1900 Census, Robert H. says that they had three children with one living. The two children that died have not been identified. Robert's Death Certificate says that he died of a stroke and cerebral hemorrhage and Nellie died of old age and senility. Both were long-term residences of the Sands Hotel in Tacoma. Robert and Nellie were cremated at Mt View Cemetery, but the Compiler has found a gravestone for both in the Waterville NY cemetery, on the Eli Hotchkin plot.

Frank Marion Hotchkin was born on 9 February 1869 at Sangerfield, Oneida County, NY, USA.1 He was the son of George Putnam Hotchkin and Mariah Mann. Frank Marion Hotchkin was a Pri, andserved in the US Marines at the Portsmouth Navy Yard.2 He married Mary (Maggie) Margaret Griffith at Little Falls, Herkimer County, NY, USA, on 19 March 1892.3
The Waterville Times says that he was elected as Collector and he received 266 votes out of 277 who voted.
Frank Marion Hotchkin was employed in 1895 as a Grocer. He and Mary (Maggie) Margaret Griffith were divorced before 1910. The 1910 census calls her May M. and says that she is divorced.. Frank Marion Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1910 at Boston, Suffolk County, MA, USA. The census lists the family as: Frank M. Hotchkin, 41, single, born NY, father birth not known, mother born England, works in shoemaker shop.. He married Bertha S. Sullivan on 27 December 1935 at Nashua, Hillsborough County, NH, USA.4 Frank Marion Hotchkin died on 5 June 1936 at Boston, Suffolk County, MA, USA, at age 67. Obituary.5 He was buried at Walnut Hills Cemetery, at Brookline, Norfolk County, MA, USA.
Frank's birth date is given in his fathers Civil War Pension Application. His daughter in a letter to the Hotchkin Reunion Secretary says that he lived in Waterville, NY and later in Boston, MA. The 1900 census says that his father was born in NY and mother at sea and it gives his marriage date as 1892.
He appears in the 1898 Chicago City Directory as F M Hotchkin and Co., Grocers at 6426 Stoney Island and residing at 5426 Monroe. The next available city directory is 1902 and it lists his wife Mrs Maggie M. as M & M Grocers at 6426 Jackson Park. She appears in the 1905 directory in the same manner, but in 1910 she is listed at 770 E 41st St as Meg M., widow of Frank. However, Frank appears in the 1910, 1920 and 1930 censuses of MA.

Clarence Edward (Clair) Breining registered for the World War I Draft on 12 September 1918 while living at Jackson County, MI, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "Clarence Edward Breining, born 2 jan 1881, works for Peerless Portland Cement Co, wife Una Belle Breining.". He appeared on the census of 1920 at Spring Arbor, Jackson County, MI, USA. The census lists the family as: Clarence E. Breining, 38, born MI, father born Germany, mother born England; wife Unabelle, 23, born MI; dau LaReda E., 6, born MI; son Charles J., 4, born MI; son Lester, 1, born MI.. He died on 7 January 1955 at Washtenaw County, MI, USA, at age 74. William Miller Hotchkin

William Miller Hotchkin was born on 3 April 1883 at Mitchell, Davison County, SD, USA. He was the son of Earnest Frank Hotchkin and Anna (Annie) Miller Mueller. He married Elfrieda Schick at Chicago, Cook County, IL, USA, on 9 November 1907.1 William Miller Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1910 at Chicago, Cook County, IL, USA. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Miller, age 26, b SD, f & m b IL; wife Elfreda, age 26, b IL, f & m b Ger; son Miller H., age 1 8/12, son Robert F., age 6/12; Miller was a bookbinder and owned his home free of mortage.. He resided at Chicago, Cook County, IL, in 1910. He died on 24 June 1917 at Avon, Lake County, IL, USA, at age 34.2
William's son Hugh Miller Hotchkin furnished information on this family. He says that both his dad and he were known as Miller. The 1900 census of Chicago finds William M. with his parents and gives his birth as April 1884 and says that he is 16 and born in SD; and he is an apprentice Blacksmith. Son Hugh Miller said that his parents, both lived in the area of Cornell Park, Chicago and met at Robert Fulton Grade School.
The 1910 census says that they had been married 3 years and that both of their parents were born in IL. Grandson Raymond Harry says that William Miller died of drowning in Chicago. Walter J. gives a date of during WWI, about 1917. William appears in the 1904 through the 1910 Chicago City Directories, as a book binder living at 5141 Winchester until 1910 when he resides at 5528 Oakley. Birth records of his son John have William listed as a Builder.

Charles P. Hotchkin was born in 1836 at NY, USA.1 He was the son of Noah B. Hotchkin and Emeline L. Monroe. Charles P. Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1855 at Paris Twp, Oneida County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: NY State Census, Paris, Oneida Co., NY, Pg 10; Hotchkin, Charles, Emaline, Sarah, Mary, Frances.. He married Maria Anne Chapman at NY circa 1866. He resided at Paris Twp, Oneida County, NY, in 1875. Charles P. Hotchkin died in 1890 at Paris Twp, Oneida County, NY.2 He was buried at Sauquoit Valley Cemetery, at Sauquoit, Oneida County, NY, USA.
