     The Strong Family Genealogy furnishes information on Nelson, his wife Abigail Bates Strong and their three children. This book says that he was a West India Trading Merchant. Massachusetts Town Birth records give his birth date as 12 June 1808 in Richmond.1

On August 9, 1876, he was married to Eva A. Hotchkin, who passed on March 19,1928.. He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, at Saline, Washtenaw County, MI, USA.
