     Irene appears first in the 1939 Seattle City Directory, listed as a nurse; and next in the 1948 directory as Secretary Non-Reegistered Nurses and living in Renton. She is next listed in the 1951 edition as widow of Albert, working with the Association of Licensed Practical Nurses and still living in Renton. Next, she is in the 1953 edition, working with the Nurses Placement Bureau and living at 1519 3rd Ave. The last entry for her is in 1954-55 where she is listed as Emp Agency, 505 Fisher Studio Bldg. and still living on 3rd Ave.

Harry died on 20 June 1895 at Seabeck, Kitsap County, WA, USA. Cemetery Records. This may be a mistake as an Internet Cemetery records claims a death date of Sep 1915.. He was buried at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, at Seattle, King County, WA, USA. Cemetery records give birth and death information and say that his body was removed from Kitsap cemetery. Sec 14-3.

     The Mt. Pleasant Cemetery records show Harry Howard's body removed from the Seabeck, WA cemetery on 24 September 1915 along with that of his sister Jessie and father Albert. The records give his age at death as 14, born Troy, NY. According to the records, he died of Croupous Pneumonia.

Birth date and location comes from his passport application.2 He was the son of Peter MacFarlane Rev. and Sara Elizabeth Kendrick. He married Blanche N. Hotchkin at Seabeck, Kitsap County, WA, USA, on 5 September 1892. Married at the home of her father Albert..3,2 Walter Rodney MacFarlane was a Merchant circa 1900. He appeared on the census of 1930 at Seattle, King County, WA, USA. The census lists the family as: Walter R. MacFarlane, 60, born M; no occupation; wife Blanche, 56, born NY; son Richard A; 21, single, born WA. He died on 5 March 1935 at Seattle, King County, WA, at age 65. He was buried at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, at Seattle, King County, WA, USA.

     Walter and his family were not found in the 1920 census because they were living in the Philippines where he was Manager of a US lumber company that was cutting and shipping Philippine mahogany.
     He applied for a passport for the trip on 14 June 1916 and sailed on the Empress of Russia on 10 Aug 1916.

Victor Barton Hotchkin

The 1930 census has a notation that his fathers birth location is unknown and that he was adopted.. He was the son of Allen Hovey Hotchkin and Florence Mary Moore. Victor Barton Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1920 at Los Angeles County, CA, USA. The census lists the family as: Victor B. Hotchkin, age 2 9/12.. He resided at Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA, in 1920. He was a Cpl, andserved in US Army, during the World War II. His service records show: Victor B. Hotchkin, born 1917, native of California, branch Infantry, National Guards, 4 years of high school, divorced, no dependents, height 68, weight 140. He married Gertrude Byrum at Polk County, OR, USA, circa 1942. Victor Barton Hotchkin and an unknown person were divorced in 1948 at OR, USA. Victor died on 20 March 1961 at OR at age 43.1 He was buried at Willamette National Cemetery, at Portland, Multnomah County, OR, USA. The cenmetery records show him as US Army, CPL; buried in plot G O 4106..

     We find that Victor was Adopted from an unusal note in the 1930 census. The location for his fathers birth says UNK and then the word Adopted.
At his 3 Mar 1941 enlistment he claimed to be divorced and without dependents.

he Oregon Divorce Index has a listing of a Divorce between Gertude Hotchkin and Victor Hotchkin on 22 May, 1948 (File #1158). Her age was given as 27 and his as 46 (file #3-20-61).
     He must have had an earlier married as his 1941 enlistment says that he was divorced.
