He was the son of Lewis J. Hotchkin and Eleanor Holliday. He married Harriet Jane Caldwell at Meadville, Crawford County, PA, on 1 January 1896. Date comes from 1900 census. The 1930 census says that he was first married at age 16 which would be 1893. Called Harriet Caldwell on marriage license.. Albert Hotchkin married Jane Colwell. Albert Hotchkin registered for the World War I Draft on 12 September 1918 while living at Oil City, Venango County, PA, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "His name on the top of the form is Albert Hotchkin; however, he signed as Albert L. Hotchkin. He gives his age as 41, born 18 January 1877. He is a machinist helper for the Penn Railroad on Spruce St in Oil City. He lists his daughter Irene Hotchkin as his nearest relative.". He married Grace L. Colwell in 1922 at PA, USA.      His obituary gives a third child; Mrs Irene Wood of Oil City, PA. She is not with the family at any of the Census. She and her brother David Hotchkin published a Thank You Note in the local newspaper on Tuesday February 10 1953 after their father Albert's death.

     Eric L. Smith in his January 1991 letter to the Compiler, calls him Drew and gives a birth year of 1860. The first name Albert is given in the 1870 census.

     Elizabeth A. Gill was born on 6 January 1862 at PA, USA. Age 62 at the 1910 census. 1900 census says age 52, born Mar 1848. Date calculate from 96-1-23 at death. She married Albert Ladraw (Drew) Hotchkin at Meadville, Crawford County, PA, USA, in 1887. Date according to 1910 Census..² Elizabeth A. Gill died on 1 March 1958 at Meadville, Crawford County, PA, at age 96. This may be buried date as it comes from cemetery records..³

     Hazel Marie Hotchkin was born on 24 October 1894 at Meadville, Crawford County, PA, USA. Meadville Tribune, 1/17/1993. Died at Westbury United Methodist Community.^1,2 She was the daughter of Albert Ladraw (Drew) Hotchkin and Elizabeth A. Gill.      Dora Lavina Stillson was born on 14 June 1880 at CT, USA.¹ She married Gilbert Eugene Hotchkin at CT circa 1901. Dora Lavina Stillson lived in 1958 at Darien, Fairfield County, CT, USA. The City Directiry lists her as Mrs Dora Hotchkin, employed at 72 Richmond Hill Rd. She died on 8 April 1970 at Lehigh Acres, Lee County, FL, USA, at age 89. Dora L. Hotchkin, 89, of 15 Maple Ave., Lehigh Acres,(Florida) died Wed. at the residence of her daughter. She had moved to Lehigh Acres five years ago from Bridgeport, CT. She was a member of the First Community Congregational Church of Lehigh Acres.
She is survived by her daughtrer, Mrs. Ella Mather of Lehigh Acres and one grandchild. The body will be sent to Albert W. Spear Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Ct. He was 23 and she 21 at marriage according to 1930 census.. Ella C. Hotchkin died in July 1985 at Valrico, Hillsborough County, FL, USA, at age 83.¹

     Alice may have died young as she is not with the family at the 1920 census at which time she would be age about 14.

     The Compiler had her as Ella Unknown. The Gene Pool Records give her name as Marie A. Chapman. The Compiler has assigned Marie A. Chapman as the wife of Charles P. Hotchkin.

     Ruth A. Hotchkin was born in April 1884 at St. Louis County, MO, USA. Date according to 1900 census. She was the daughter of Charles G. Hotchkin and Ellen (Ella) Gross. Ruth A. Hotchkin married Harry W. Summers on 4 September 1901 at Clayton, St. Louis County, MO, USA.

The census lists the family as: Mary Granville, 48, no occupation, born ME; Evilena, Granville, 13, born ME. They are living in large boarding house or hotel..      All of this information except for the census look-ups came from Henry Gustine according to the Compilers cousin Junnelle Denslow Reep. Samuel can not be found in any of the censuses so likely he died before 1850. At the 1850 census, Mary and daughter Evilene are living in a hotel in Chicopee, MA. A George F Granvile, who is the correct age is found in Effingham, Corrol, NH in 1850 with several other Granville,s. There is no proof that this is the correct George. He is not again found until 1870 in Berrien County, MI.

     Charles Emery Burroughs was born on 10 June 1890 at MI, USA. He was the son of Lothram Whitford Burroughs and Clara Belle (Carrie) Caswell. Charles Emery Burroughs died in March 1967 at MI at age 76. He was buried in 1968 at Maple Grove Cemetery, at Concord, Jackson County, MI, USA.
