RETIRED BARBER FUNERAL SET

Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Kiker & Son Chapel for Leon Jenkins, 82, retired barber in Colorado City.

Mr. Jenkins had been in failing health for several months when he died unexpectedly at 1:40 a.m. Friday in Root Memorial Hospital.

Minister of the 22nd. and Austin Street Church of Christ, Bob Barnes, will officiate. Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery.

Born February 15, 1884 in Covington, Louisiana, he moved to Mitchell County with his family at the age of two months. He married Peggie Waller January 18, 1914 in Westbrook.

He was a member of the First Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Aden of Houston, Mrs. Robert C. Quinlan and Mrs. W. R. Wainer, both of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Lee Green of Dallas and Mrs. Bertha McGaha of California; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.. He was buried at Colorado City Cemetery, at Colorado City, Mitchell County, TX, USA.

     Margaret (Peggy) Waller was born on 21 March 1894 at OK, USA. Age 25 at the 1920 census, born in TX. The 1930 census says that she was born in OK. She married Robert Leon Jenkins on 18 January 1914 at Mitchell County, TX, USA. Margaret (Peggy) Waller died on 10 January 1971 at Colorado City, Mitchell County, TX, USA, at age 76.

COLORADO CITY (RNS)~~ Mrs. Peggie Jenkins, 76, died shortly before noon Sunday in Root Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the 22nd. and Austin Street Church of Christ with Leslie Mickey, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker and Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jenkins was born March 21, 1894 in Oklahoma Territory and came to Colorado City in 1907 and married Leon Jenkins in 1914 at Westbrook.
Mr. Jenkins died in 1966.
Mrs. Jenkins was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Aden of Colorado City, Mrs. Robert C. Quinlan and Mrs. W. R. Wainer, both of Dallas; one brother, John Waller of Mansfield; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Hart of Lubbock and Mrs. Elizabeth Greer of Hereford; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.. She was buried at Colorado City Cemetery, at Colorado City, Mitchell County, TX, USA.
