     Albert T. Hotchkin was born on 10 October 1849 at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, USA. He was the son of Joshua Francis (James) Hotchkin and Lydia Novill Grant. He married Philena Krum at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, circa 1870. Albert T. Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1880 at Sullivan County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Albert, age 28, b NY; wife Philena, 28, NY; son Wm M., 1; ED140,S5,L29. He died on 28 April 1898 at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, at age 48.^1,2 He was buried at Hodge Cemetery, at Neversink, Sullivan County, NY, USA.

     Albert's birth and death are recorded in family bible records. The family bible records give a death date of 28 April 1909 and Barber, Sullivan Co. Index of Wills, PG 28 confirms this date; however, his gravestone gives a date of 1898. The Will records would seem to be strong evidence of his death; however, at the 1900 census, he is not with his family so the Compiler is going to use the 1898 date. The 1880 census shows him a 29-year-old farmer, making his birth as 1850/51. Philena had a later marriage to Nicholas Grant and at the 1920 census, Philena Grant and daughter Nellie Hotchkin are living together in Sullivan Co., NY.

     Amos (Enos) Hotchkin was born on 6 September 1851 at Sullivan County, NY, USA. He was the son of Joshua Francis (James) Hotchkin and Lydia Novill Grant. Amos (Enos) Hotchkin died in 1860 at Sullivan County, NY.

     Nancy Hotchkin was born in November 1859 at Neversink, Sullivan County, NY, USA. She was the daughter of Joshua Francis (James) Hotchkin and Nancy Leroy. She married Benjamin P. Schoonmaker at Hurleyville, Sullivan County, NY, USA, on 22 April 1883. The Compiler has a note that this marriage date is according to Bible records, but no further indication as to the bible.. Nancy Hotchkin died in 1909 at Neversink, Sullivan County, NY.

     The marriage of Nancy to Schoonmaker is identified in the Will of William Mead Hotchkin as he excludes his half-sister Nancy from his Will because J. Francis left nothing to William.

     Frances (Frankey) Thompkins Hotchkin was born in 1870 at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, USA. She was the daughter of Joshua Francis (James) Hotchkin and Frances (Fanny) May Tompkins. She married William George Heidt at Sullivan County, NY, USA, circa 1888.¹ Frances (Frankey) Thompkins Hotchkin died on 10 October 1894 at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY. She was buried at Liberty Cemetery, at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, USA.

     Frances (Frankey) was the last child of J. Frances Hotchkin and the only child of his third wife, Fanny M. Tompkins. She is called Francis Heyte in the Will of William Mead Hotchkin and excluded from his Will because his father J. Francis excuded William.

     Peter L. Krum was born in 1840 at NY, USA.¹ He married Elizabeth Hotchkin at Sullivan County, NY, USA, on 11 December 1860. Marriage date according to Sullivan County Record.. Peter L. Krum appeared on the census of 1880 at Wawarsing, Ulster County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Peter L. Krum, 40, born NY, parents born NY; wife Elizabeth, 36, born NY, parents born NY; dau Mariam, 16, born NY; dau Gertrude, 14, born NY; dau Celia, 2, born NY.. He died in 1902 at Parksville, Sullivan County, NY, USA. He was buried at Liberty Cemetery, at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, USA.

     John Teller Evans was born on 14 December 1840 at Neversink, Sullivan County, NY, USA. Born Dec 1840, age 59 according to the 1900 census.¹ He resided at Ellenville, Ulster County, NY, USA, in 1860. He married Celia Hotchkin at NY, USA, in 1864. Married 36 years at the 1900 census.. John Teller Evans appeared on the census of 1900 at Wawarsing, Ulster County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: John L. Evans, Dec 1840, 59, married 36 years, born NY, parents born NY; wife Ceilia, Apr 1844, 56, married 36 years, 6 children 3 living, born NY, parents born NY, dau Julia M., Mar 1875, 25, married 3 years, No children, born NY; granddau Urie U. E., Feb 1895, 4, born NY. He married Elizabeth Hotchkin at Ellenville, Ulster County, NY, on 8 February 1905.² John Teller Evans died on 10 April 1925 at Ellenville, Ulster County, NY, at age 84.³ He was buried at Fantinekill Cemetery, at Ellenville, Ulster County, NY, USA.

     John was a canal boat captain. John and Elizabeth lived on Canal Street in Ellensville, NY.

     Hattie Kortright was born in February 1852 at NY, USA. She was the daughter of Cornelius Kortright and Alice Mason. She married Francis Norman Hotchkin at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, USA, circa 1871. Hattie Kortright died on 30 July 1915 at Neversink, Sullivan County, NY, USA, at age 63. Died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Fred Bonney..² She was buried at Fallsburg Neversink Cemetery, at Neversink, Sullivan County, NY, USA.

     Information on Hattie comes from Barber, Sullivan County Gravestone. The 1900 census has her in Fallsburg Twp., Sullivan Co., NY with husband and daughter Alice J.¹

     Philena Krum was born in February 1856 at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, USA. Gravestone says 1852. She was the daughter of Benjamin L. Krum and Julia Ann LeRoy. She married Albert T. Hotchkin at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, circa 1870. Philena Krum appeared on the census of 1880 at Sullivan County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Philene, age 28, b NY; son William M., age 1, b NY.. She resided at Fallsburgh, Sullivan County, NY, USA, in 1900. She married Nicholas Grant at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, on 12 April 1902.¹ Philena Krum died on 1 January 1942 at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, at age 85. She was buried at Hodge Cemetery, at Neversink, Sullivan County, NY, USA.

     The 1900 census has this family in Neversink, Sullivan Co., NY and gives Philena's birth as that shown. Philena's husband Albert T. is not with the family at this census; adding some creditability to the 1898 death given on his gravestone, but would cause a problem regarding the birth of Margaret M. (Nellie). Philena was only 15 or 16 years old when her daughter Katie was born. After the death of her husband Albert, she married Nicholas Grant, who was the son of Nathan Grant and Jeramia Gellet. The marriage records of Philena and Nickolas calls her Crum.

     Benjamin was born at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, USA, on 20 June 1855. Information from an internet posting.. He was the son of Thomas W. Schoonmaker and Elizabeth Young. He married Nancy Hotchkin at Hurleyville, Sullivan County, NY, USA, on 22 April 1883. The Compiler has a note that this marriage date is according to Bible records, but no further indication as to the bible.. He married Hattie Louise Lawrence at Middletown, Orange County, NY, USA, on 26 June 1910. Benjamin P. Schoonmaker appeared on the census of 1920 at Sidney, Delaware County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Benjamin Schoonmaker, 64, born NY; wife Hattie F., 44, born NY. He died on 14 February 1929 at East Guilford, Chenango County, NY, USA, at age 73.      William was born at NY, USA, in September 1867. 1900 census. He married Frances (Frankey) Thompkins Hotchkin at Sullivan County, NY, USA, circa 1888.¹ William George Heidt appeared on the census of 1930 at Fallsburgh, Sullivan County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: William Heidt, 65, widow, mazrried at 25, born NY.. He died in 1938 at Sullivan County, NY. He was buried at Liberty Cemetery, at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, USA.

     Louisa Cornelia Seward was born on 10 November 1851 at Florida, Orange County, NY, USA.² She was the daughter of Edwin Polladare Seward and Mary E. Taylor. She married Samuel Beriah Hotchkin at Florida, Orange County, NY, on 1 January 1873. Marriage date in her obituary..^1,2 Louisa Cornelia Seward appeared on the census of 1880 at Florida, Orange County, NY. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Louisa C., age 28, b NY; son Edwin S. age 6, b OH; dau Clara, age 4, b NY; son McLeod, age 1, b NY; they are boarders in the home of Sarah A. Robins. Samuel is now in Las Animas Co., CO.. She died on 25 June 1931 at Medicine Lodge, Barber County, KS, USA, at age 79. Winfield Daily Courier gives a death date of 25 June 1935 and location of death as Medicine Lodge, KS..³ She was buried at Union Graham Cemetery, at Winfield, Cowley County, KS, USA. Compiler viewed these gravestones.

     At the 1880 census of Florida, Orange Co., NY, Louisa and her children are boarders with Sarah A. Robins., while Samuel is in Colorado living with Louisa's brother.

     Edward was born at Akron, Summit County, OH, USA, on 14 December 1873. He gives this date at his draft registration..¹ He was the son of Samuel Beriah Hotchkin and Louisa Cornelia Seward. Edward (Edwin) Seward Hotchkin registered for the World War I Draft in 1918 while living at Winfield, Cowley County, KS, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "He gives birth as 4 Dec 1873 and says that he does clerical work for F. Collier and Sons in Kansas City, KS. He gives as a dependent his Mothe, Louisa Cornelia Hotchkin.". He appeared on the census of 1930 at Winfield, Cowley County, KS, USA. The census lists the family as: Edwin is called Edward S., age 56, iving with his brother Mac Leod at 406 Lomis St.. Edward died on 22 September 1961 at Wellington, Sumner County, KS, USA, at age 87. He was buried at Union Graham Cemetery, at Winfield, Cowley County, KS, USA. East 1/2, Lot 39, Block 2.²

     Clara was born at Newburgh, Orange County, NY, USA, on 1 June 1876.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Beriah Hotchkin and Louisa Cornelia Seward. She married Charles Benjamin Vaughn at Winfield, Cowley County, KS, USA, on 9 March 1909. History of Montgomery County, NY.. Clara Dorothy (Dot) Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1920 at Winfield, Cowley County, KS. The census lists the family as: She is single and living with brother Samuel.. Clara died at Winfield, Cowley County, KS.

     Mac Leod Hotchkin was born on 14 April 1879 at Prattsburgh, Steuben County, NY, USA. Birth date from WWI Draft Registration 1917-1918. He was the son of Samuel Beriah Hotchkin and Louisa Cornelia Seward. He married Ethel (Bessie) Stroope at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, OK, USA, on 27 April 1908. Married 2 years at the 1910 census. Oklahoma County Marriage records 1890 - 1895. Mac Leod Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1910 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, OK. The census lists the family as: William T. Snellings, age 56, married 2 times, married 16 years, born TN, parents born TN, common labor; Wife Florence B., age 43, married twice. married 16 years, born AR, father born MS, mother born KY, 6 children, 3 living; daughter Jessie Stropps, age 25, single, born AR, parents born AR; daughter Bessie Hotchkin, age 20, married one time, married 2 years, 1 child, 1 living, born AR, parents born AR; son William Snellings, age 15, single, born TN, father born TN, mother born AR; son-in-law Mac L. Hotchins, age 30, married twice, married 2 years, born NY, parents born NY; grand daughter Florence, age 6/12, born OK, father born AR, mother born NY. (This last stement is oviousely a mistake, father was born NY and mother AR). He married Susie May Heth at Wichita, Sedgwick County, KS, USA, in September 1917. Mac Leod Hotchkin registered for the World War I Draft on 12 September 1918 while living at Butler County, KS, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "He gives his birth as 14 April 1879 and residing in Butler Co, KS. His dependent is his wife Sussie May Hotchkin.". He died on 3 October 1952 at Winfield, Cowley County, KS, USA, at age 73.² He was buried at Highland Cemetery, at Winfield, Cowley County, KS, USA. Block L, West, Lot 14-2.

     Sarah (Sallie) Sully Neagle was born in 1837 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA, USA. The 1850 census gives her age as 17 (born 1833), the 1860 census has 23 (1837). She was the daughter of John Neagle and Sarah Sully. Sarah (Sallie) Sully Neagle appeared on the census of 1860 at Oden, Montgomery County, AR, USA. The census lists the family as: Sallie S. Neagle, 23, born PA, living in boarding house.. She married Samuel Fitch Hotchkin Rev. at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA, on 1 June 1869. Information on this marriage comes from the John Neagle family history and Marriage Records attached.. Sarah (Sallie) Sully Neagle died on 23 February 1898 at Bustleton, Philadelphia County, PA, USA. Her obituary in The Bucks County Gazette on 3 March 1898 said, "Mrs Sarah Sully Hotchkin, the wife of Rev. Samuel F. Hotchkin, rector of St. Lukes"s P. E. Church, Bustleton, died on Wednesday morning of last week at her home, after a prolonged illness, aged 64 years. Mrs. Hotchkin was rhe daughter of the late John Neagle, the well known artist, and a granddaughter of that world-famed portrait painter, the late Thomas Sully.. She was buried at Saint Lukes Episcopal Churchyard Cemetery, at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA, USA.

     According to her Obituary, she was the daughter of a well known Artist, John Neagle, and granddaughter of that world famous portrait artist Thomas Sully.

     Helen was born at NY, USA, on 19 September 1855. Age 24 at the 1880 census.. She was the daughter of Edmund Roberts Rev. and Helen Lispenard Nicholson. She married Samuel Fitch Hotchkin Rev. at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA, USA, on 31 May 1899. They were married at the Church of the Advocate in Philadelphia.. Helen Nicholson Roberts appeared on the census of 1920 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA. The census lists the family as: Helen N. Hotchkin, 64 (1855), widow, NY, father born Delaware, mother born PA.. She died on 30 September 1938 at PA, USA, at age 83. She was buried at Saint Lukes Episcopal Churchyard Cemetery, at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA, USA.

     Sarah Jane Cochran was born on 15 September 1833 at Radnor, Delaware County, PA, USA. She was the daughter of Issac Cochran and Ann Hawkins. She married Gurdon Beriah Hotchkin MD at Media, Delaware County, PA, USA, on 15 November 1855. Sarah Jane Cochran died on 25 October 1891 at Duncansville, Blair County, PA, USA, at age 58. She was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, at Altoona, Blair County, PA, USA. Her Memorial is engraved on the back of Gurdon Beriah's stone..

     Elizabeth Alice Hotchkin was born on 11 September 1863 at Media, Delaware County, PA, USA. She was the daughter of Gurdon Beriah Hotchkin MD and Sarah Jane Cochran. Elizabeth Alice Hotchkin was a Music Teacher in 1895 at Altoona, Blair County, PA, USA, The 1895 City Directory of Altoona called her Lizzie and said that she taught at the home of her father. She appeared on the census of 1920 at Lakewood, Ocean County, NJ, USA. The census lists the family as: Eliz A. Hotchkin, 55 (1864), born PA, single, a boarder, no occupation.. She lived in October 1934 at Presbyterian Home, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, NJ, USA. According to her brother's Obituary she resided here at his death. She died in 1949 at PA, USA. She was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, at Altoona, Blair County, PA, USA.

     She was unmarried in 1929.

     William Rowland Hotchkin was born on 6 June 1868 at Huntingdon, Huntingdon County, PA, USA.⁴ He was the son of Gurdon Beriah Hotchkin MD and Sarah Jane Cochran. He married Emma Jane Black at Altoona, Blair County, PA, USA, on 19 June 1895.⁵ William Rowland Hotchkin was employed in 1900 as an Advertizing Sales Manager. He appeared on the census of 1900 at Manhattan, New York County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Wm. R., age 32, b 6-1868 in PA,parents born NY, married 5 years, Manager; wife Emma J., age 30, b 8-1869 in PA, parents born PA, married 5 years, 1 child, 1 living; son James R., age 1 yr, 4 mo, b 2-1899 in PA; boarder with Mary F. King.. He resided at New York City, New York County, NY, USA, in 1900. He died on 7 October 1934 at Montclair, Essex County, NJ, USA, at age 66.^4,6 He was buried at Mount Hebron Cemetery, at Montclair, Essex County, NJ, USA.

     William Rowland Hotchkin, writing in NEHGR, Vol 85, gives a lot of information on himself. He says that he was an advertising and merchandising executive for John Wanamaker and Gimbel Brothers in Philadelphia and New York City; general merchandising counsel for retailers; former president of the Sphinx Club, New York City; and author of various books and many articles on merchandising and advertising in trade papers. Four of these books are referenced in the footnotes.

William in his NEHGR report discusses the name changes of the family and documents the Hochkin spelling that the Compiler has further covered in this book. He says that he had in his possession a letter from Rev James Hervey Hotchkin to his grandson, Dr Gurdon Beriah Hotchkin, the letter dated, 19 March, 1849, says, "Our name was originally spelled Hodgkin, my grandfather, Noah, spelt it Hochkin. My father, Rev Beriah inserted the 't' and this is the present spelling in our different branches of the family." William goes on to say that this spelling is confirmed by another original letter that he has in his possession written by Rev Beriah Hotchkin to his son, Rev James Hervey Hotchkin in November, 1813, in which the names, both in address and signature are spelled Hotchkin. This letter is now in the possession of the Presbyterian Historical Society and the Compiler has a copy of it.
     The family is shown as arriving on the ship Oceanic from Cherbourg, France on 6 Jul 1910. William is listed as Wm. Roland, age 40, Emma is Mrs Wm. Roland age 35, James is James Roland, age 12. All are shown as US Citizens.

     Emma Jane Black was born on 27 August 1869 at Altoona, Blair County, PA, USA. At the 1880 census, she is listed as age age 9 which would make her birth 1870 to 1871. Likely the date should be 1870 as she is not in the 1870 census with her parents and at the 1880 census she is listed as 9 years old, also sister Ellen is shown as born Aug 1869 at the 1900 census. She was the daughter of James A. Black and Tamer VanAlman. Emma Jane Black appeared on the census of 1880 at Altoona, Blair County, PA. The census lists the family as: James A. Black, 39, RR Engineer, born PA, father birth not given, mother born PA; wife Tamner, 38, born PA, parents born PA; dau Elsie M., 14, born PA; dau Ellen, 11, born PA; dau Emma J., 9, born PA; son William K., 7, born PA; dau Maude, 5, born PA; son John P. L., 3, born PA. She married William Rowland Hotchkin at Altoona, Blair County, PA, on 19 June 1895.¹ She resided at New York City, New York County, NY, USA, in 1900. Emma died on 15 July 1953 at age 83.² She was buried at Mount Hebron Cemetery, at Montclair, Essex County, NJ, USA.

     Ellis Island records show Mrs Wm R. Hotchkin and son James Rowland sailing 6 Jul 1910 on the ship Oceanic from Cherbourg, France.

     James Rowland Hotchkin was born on 8 February 1899 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA, USA.^2,3 He was the son of William Rowland Hotchkin and Emma Jane Black. James Rowland Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1900 at Manhattan, New York County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, James R., b NY, 2-1899, 1 yr-4mo, lodger with Mary F. King.. He was a Manufacturer in 1900. He resided at New York City, New York County, NY, USA, in 1900. He registered for the World War I Draft on 4 September 1918 while living at Montclair, Essex County, NJ, USA. The registration card gave additional information on him: "He gives his age as 19, born 8 Feb 1889. He is a student at Mass. Institute of Tech in Cambridge, MA. He gives W. R. Hotchkin as nearest relative at 182 Clarmont, Montclair. He signs the Registration as J. Rowland Hotchkin.". He married Betty Beggs at NJ, USA, on 10 October 1931. James Rowland Hotchkin died on 9 March 1967 at Short Hills, Essex County, NJ, USA, at age 68.³ He was buried at Mount Hebron Cemetery, at Montclair, Essex County, NJ, USA.

     James Rowland was a graduate of MIT and manufactured Mechanical Assessories at Irvington, NJ. New Jersey is given as the location of his first SS card and death benefits. At the 1900 census he was a boarder with Mary F. King of 35-38 Grammercy Park, Manhattan, NYC.

     Betty Beggs was born on 6 October 1908 at Glen Ridge, Essex County, NJ, USA.² She was the daughter of John E. Beggs and Cora Paige. She married James Rowland Hotchkin at NJ, USA, on 10 October 1931. She married Eugene Joseph Conroy at NJ circa 1972.

     The Compiler corresponded with Betty in 1990. She wrote a letter, dated 3 August 1990 saying that her first husband had been dead almost 25 years and that she had remarried Eugene J. Conroy. At this time, she lived in Short Hills, NJ.
     At the 1930 census Betty Beggs is living with an uncle, Frederick Beggs, age 54.

     Adaline Augusta Hotchkin was born in January 1857 at Caledonia, Livingston County, NY, USA.^1,2 She was the daughter of George Nelson Hotchkin and Elizabeth Converse Bixby. Adaline Augusta Hotchkin died on 17 February 1867 at Titusville, Crawford County, PA, USA, at age 10.¹ She was buried on 20 February 1867 at Mount Hope Cemetery, at Rochester, Monroe County, NY, USA. Sec L, Lot 68.

     George Augustus Hotchkin was born in December 1852 at NY, USA. He was the son of George Nelson Hotchkin and Elizabeth Converse Bixby. George Augustus Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1880 at Rochester, Monroe County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, George A., age 27; with his father, brother and sisters.. He married Alice E. Merritt at Rochester, Monroe County, NY, on 17 December 1885.¹ He resided at Rochester, Monroe County, NY, USA, in 1890. George Augustus Hotchkin died on 6 October 1902 at Rochester, Monroe County, NY, at age 49.^2,3 He was buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, at Rochester, Monroe County, NY, USA. Sec L, Lot 68.⁴

     George A. Hotchkin and his wife Alice Merritt are listed in Talcott. George bought land in Ann Arbor, MI on 2 Nov 1877 and the Deed says that he was from Rochester, NY; however, there is no evidence of his having lived in Michigan. George A. Hotchkin first appears in the 1875 Rochester City Directory as a Civil Engineer at City Hall and living with his parents at 4 Hubbell Park. In some directories, he is shown as a partner with his brother Frank and his father George N. The 1885 and 1886 directories have him as (McCormick and Hotchkin) with their business at 326 State St, and in 1887, he is listed as a Mason, business address at 11 N. Fitzhugh. The 1889 through 1902 directories show him at City Hall, called a Civil Engineer and Superintendent of Water Works. At the 1900 census, he was living at 1112 Ambrose St., Rochester, NY with his wife, mother-inlaw Agusta A. Merritt and a sister Frances Gilford (which may be Elizabeth F. Hotchkin).
     George was the Superintendent of the Water Works. An article in the Rochester Union and Advertiser, dated, 4 May 1893 says, "George A. Hotchkin of Chief Engineer Kuichling's staff has returned after a trip over the line of the Hemlock conduit. He makes trips of this kind several times a year. On this occasion he started Monday morning and drove to a point two and a half miles this side of Rush. The conduit lies alongside of the road during that stretch, but at the point mentioned it leaves the road and goes across fields and farms. He walked the remainder of the distance to Hemlock Lake in order to inspect the entire line. Monday night he stopped at Honeye Falls and Tuesday night at Richmond Mills, reaching the lake yesterday. Mr. Hotchkin says the conduit is in perfect order. There were no leaks and everything was found all right."
     George's obituary published in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, dated Tuesday, 7 Oct 1902; says, "he died suddenly while at lunch with City Engineer Fisher. A doctor was called when he had what seemed to be and attack of indigestion. He was taken to St. Mary's Hospital where he died within an hour and one/half. It was not known what caused his death but being a full-bodied fleshy man, it was thought that apoplexy, coupled with asthma, from which he suffered, was responsible for the attack." George was buried in a Masonic funeral service. The obituary says that be was born at Caledonia in 1853 and his family moved to Rochester when he was an infant.      Frank was born at NY, USA, in May 1855. Age 45, born May 1855 at the 1900 census. He was the son of George Nelson Hotchkin and Elizabeth Converse Bixby. Frank Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1900 at Newark, Essex County, NJ, USA. The census lists the family as: Hotchkin, Frank, 5-1855, b NY, living with b-in-law Vernon E. Beavers.. He resided at Newark, Essex County, NJ, in 1900. Frank died in 1939 at Rochester, Monroe County, NY, USA.¹ He was buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, at Rochester, Monroe County, NY, USA. Sec L, Lot 68.

     Frank is described by Talcott and found in the 1880 census with his brothers and sisters and father living at 30 Adams St., Rochester, NY. The 1890 Rochester City Directory calls him a Collector with a business address of 481 Exchange St. Frank is in Chicago at the 1895 Chicago City Directory and is listed as a clerk, living at 5054 State St. At the 1920 census, he is living with sister and brother-in-law at 50 Richelan Terrace, Newark City, NJ and is age 63.
