Her obituary says that she had been married 55 years..3 Henry M. Bassett appeared on the census of 1880 at Cassville, Paris Twp, Oneida County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Albert S. Bassett, 69, Stone Mason, paralized, born NY; son Henry, 37, Stone Mason, born NY; dau-in-law Sarah L., 25, born NY.. He married Cora Grace Bartoo at Binghamton, Broome County, NY, USA, on 26 October 1892.1,4,2,5,6,7,8 Charles Fenton Hotchkin appeared on the census of 1920 at Binghamton, Broome County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Charles F. Hotchkin, 48 (1871), NY, parents born in NY, real estate; wife Grace, 49, NY, parents born in NY; son donald, 22, NY, real estate; son Howard, 18, school; son Rodney, 16, school; dau Dorthy, 10, school; dau Elizabeth, 9, school, NY.. He died on 4 February 1965 at Binghamton, Broome County, NY, at age 93.9 He was buried at Floral Park Cemetery, at Johnson City, Broome County, NY, USA. Center Circle, Sec J, Lot 3.

     A letter referring to a family bible in her possession, was received by the Compiler from Ruth Clapper, Montrose, PA. Some of the information in censuses does not agree with Ruth Clapper's information and she did not give information on Dorothy and Elizabeth. These two daughter are given only in the 1920 census. Except for Ruth Clapper, this family has refused to furnish any information.
     The Will of Charles leaves an estate of $28,260.06 and his widow Grace as Administrator. One of the assets was a 3 family rental at 170 Helen Street. The files of the Binghamton Historical Society have Charles and Cora's Passports for two trips. The first was when he was age 49 for a trip to Cuba and Panama and the second was when he was age 54 and was for "Clark's Around the World Cruise." They describe his physical charteristics as 5 ft 8 1/2 inches tall, medium forehead, gray eyes, large nose, small mouth, round chin, brown hair, and light complexion. The passport includes a picture of Charles and Cora. Charles is listed in many Binghamton, NY city directories as Hotchkin and Sons, real estate and insurance. The family lived at 72 Grand Ave and conducted their business from 71 Court St. The 1900 census of Binghamton has him living at 39 Walnut St. With his wife Grace C., sons Donald C. and Durwood C. Note that Durwood's name is reversed from that which the family used. Ellis Island records show that Charles and Grace return on the ship Scythia in 1923.

She married Charles Fenton Hotchkin at Binghamton, Broome County, NY, USA, on 26 October 1892.3,4,5,6,7,8,9 Cora died on 13 November 1966 at Binghamton, Broome County, NY, USA, at age 96.1 She was buried at Floral Park Cemetery, at Johnson City, Broome County, NY, USA. Center Circle, Sec J, Lot 3.

     Her Will gives her name as Grace B. Hotchkin with an estate valued at $22,915.59. She died on 13 November 1966 at the Elizabeth Church Manor, age 96 according to the Will; with an estate to be divided equally between her three sons. The sons were Donald C. of Binghamton, Arthur Howard of Los Angeles and Rodney B. of Binghamton.

Howard Roger Hotchkin enlsted on 15 January 1945 while living at Los Angeles County, CA, USA. His enlistment notes said: " Howard R. Hotchkin, born 1919, native of California, enlisted at Ft Macarthur, San Pedro, CA, Infantry branch, Private, enlisted for duration, enlisted reserve or medical Administrative staff, 1 year of college, single no dependents, height 00, weight 00.". He married Barbara Fay Tlacil at CA, USA, in 1950. Howard Roger Hotchkin and Barbara Fay Tlacil were divorced in November 1970 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA, USA.3 He married Lorraine B. Palmer at Los Angeles County, CA, on 8 April 1973. The CA Marriage index gives her 2 surnames, Palmer and Persch..4 Howard Roger Hotchkin and Lorraine B. Palmer were divorced on 13 August 1981 at Los Angeles County, CA.3 Howard Roger Hotchkin married Mary Ann Fisher after 1981 at CA. He resided at Big Bear Lake, San Bernardino County, CA, USA, in 1991. Howard Roger Hotchkin married Maxine Guest on 22 December 2002 at Las Vegas, Clark County, NV, USA.5 Howard Roger Hotchkin died on 20 June 2006 at Oceanside, San Diego County, CA, USA, at age 79. Obituary says that he was born Nov 11, 1926 in Beverly Hills, CA and died June 20 2006 in Oceanside, CA of cancer and abdominal aneurysm. He served in US Army during World War II. He received an Engineering Degree at the University of California, Berkeley in 1949.
     He retired after 43 years with Lockheed Aircraft. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and was a SCUBA diver. He built remote moble air craft and was an Eagle Scout.
     He was a member of the Royal Arch Masons and lodge treasurer for the Oceanside Elks Lodge #1561.
     He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Maxine Guest Hotchkin: daughter Phyllis Weintraub of Israel; stepson and stepdaughter Thomas and Maria Guest of Highlands Ranch, CO; stepdaughter Karen Guest of Arlington, TX; brothers David Hotchkin of Milbrea, CA and Thomas Hotchkin of Culver City, CA; and four grandchildren. His son Frank Roger Hotchkin preceded him in death..6 He was buried at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, at San Diego, San Diego County, CA, USA.
