He was born July 14, 1931 in Cass City to Earl and Mary (Campbell) Hendrick. He married Doris Yvonne Lewis October 26, 1952 in Colling Church of the Nazarene. Earl farmed all of his life until he became ill in June. He was employed at Hills and Dales General Hospital for 20 years and at Walbro Manufacturing for 12 years until 1999. Earl was a member of Novesta Church of Christ since 1999 and a member of Tuscola County Farm Bureau for many years. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and his greatest passion was watching his children and grandchildren play sports.Earl is survived by his loving wife, Doris; sons: Raymond (Barbara) Hendrick of Cass City, Terry (Debb) Hendrick of Cass City, Charles (Kelli) Hendrick of Decker; grandchildren: Heather Hendrick (fianc Tom Cannon), Nathan (Sara) Hendrick, Elissa Hendrick, Shelley Hendrick, Lindsey (Joel) Brinkman, Ashley Hendrick, Carley Hendrick; great grandchildren: Kellan Levine and James Hendrick. Born May 23, 1895, in Elmwood township, she was the daughter of Orson and Frances (Downing) Hendrick.
Miss Hendrick and Gordon Finkbeiner were married July 24, 1918, in Caro. The couple made their home in Flint and moved to the Gagetown are in 1930 and to Owendale in 1950. Her husband died April 20, 1951.
Mrs. Finkbeiner is survived by one son, Everett Finkbeiner of Redford; 2 daughters, Mrs. Vivian Agar of Owendale and Mrs. Francis Goslin of Gagetown; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren.
Five children, 5 brothers and 2 sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Gordon Finkbeiner, 55, of Owendale were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Methodist Church at Gagetown. Burial was made in Elkland Cemetery. Mr. Finkbeiner died Friday in the Veteran's Hospital in Saginaw after an illness of almost three weeks. He was transferred from the Cass City Hospital to Saginaw last Tuesday where his condition steadily grew worse.
Son of the late Fred and Lavina Schweitzer Finkbeiner, he was born Jan. 21, 1896, in Fair Haven Township, Huron County. He and Miss Fannie Hendrick were married July 24, 1918.

were held Wednesday afternoon at two
o'clock at the Little Funeral Home. Rev.
Fred Belleville officiated and interment was
in Elkland cemetery.
Mrs. Hendrick died at her home Sunday
morning. Bernice Whittaker was born in
Kingston Jan. 19, 1916, the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Earl Whittaker and has made her
home in Cass City since 1941.
She was united in marriage with Harry
Hendrick Oct. 23, 1949. Besides her husband,
the deceased is survived by a daughter,
Charlene, and a son, Robert; her mother, Mrs.
John Sowden, of Cass City; her father, Earl
Whittaker, of Pontiac; two sisters, Mrs. St.
Elmo Archer, of Belle, Calif., and Mrs.
Kenneth Stoll of Cass City; two brothers,
Earl Whittaker of Pontiac and Guy Whittaker of
Caro; and her grandfather, Jesse King, of

Ruth later worked for Bulen Motor Sales as their accountant and later for Ouvry Chevrolet. She was a member of Cass City First Baptist Church for nearly 50 years. She taught Sunday School and was a member of the Woman's Missionary Fellowship. Ruth was a former member of the Cass City Chamber of Commerce and the Cass City Historical Club. She was an excellent seamstress and made most of her clothes and her granddaughter's clothes. Ruth enjoyed tatting and crocheting, making many beautiful afghans and was an excellent knitter.
Ruth is survived by her children: Donald H. Finkbeiner of Cass City, Eugene F. (Mary) Finkbeiner of Sumter, SC, Larry (Sandra) Finkbeiner of Caro; grandchildren: Sue (William) LaBuhn, Jon (Rose Mary) Finkbeiner, Jim (Tina) Finkbeiner, Donald L. (Candy) Finkbeiner, Sally Finkbeiner, Sharon Finkbeiner, Eugene (Tammy) Finkbeiner, Scot (Yolanda) Finkbeiner, Alice (David) DeLeary, Catherine White, Corinna (Marvin) Baumgarten, Darla "Jean" Whitney; 20 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren.
