Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Kiker & Son Chapel for Leon Jenkins, 82, retired barber in Colorado City.
Mr. Jenkins had been in failing health for several months when he died unexpectedly at 1:40 a.m. Friday in Root Memorial Hospital.
Minister of the 22nd. and Austin Street Church of Christ, Bob Barnes, will officiate. Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery.
Born February 15, 1884 in Covington, Louisiana, he moved to Mitchell County with his family at the age of two months. He married Peggie Waller January 18, 1914 in Westbrook.
He was a member of the First Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Aden of Houston, Mrs. Robert C. Quinlan and Mrs. W. R. Wainer, both of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Lee Green of Dallas and Mrs. Bertha McGaha of California; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.. He was buried at Colorado City Cemetery, at Colorado City, Mitchell County, TX, USA.
