The Morton Hill cemetery has a grave for Lorinda, saying wife of Oscar D. Lason, Co. K, 10th Mich. It is not clear whether Oscar is also buried here. The grave is with that of Hattie Matthews and Maroa Hotchkin. The main stone says Lason, Matthews and Hotchkin. These stone are adjacent to the Vincent family.
Oscar and his family are listed in the 1870 Census of Atlas, Genesee Co MI and the 1880 Census of Benton Harbor, Berrien Co MI. In the 1870 Census Mroa is called Maria and in the 1880 she is called Mroa. In an 1892 Benton Harbor Directory, he is listed as a fruit grower.
