     Orville Henry Hotchkin was born on 21 July 1933 at Junius, Lake County, SD, USA.¹ He was the son of Chester A. Hotchkin and Helen Mehren. He married Ione Myrle Twedt at Volga, Brookings County, SD, USA, on 19 October 1956. He resided at Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, SD, USA, in 1992. Orville Henry Hotchkin died on 26 September 2013 at Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, SD, at age 80. Orville "Orv" Henry Hotchkin, 80, of Sioux Falls, received his wings Thursday, September 26th surrounded by his family.Orville was born July 18th, 1933 at Junius, SD to Chester and Helen (Mehren) Hotchkin. He received his education in Chester, SD. He was drafted in the Army and honorable discharged on 10/31/1961. Orville married Ione Myrle Twedt on October 19, 1956 in Volga, SD. They made their home in Sioux Falls, SD.Also know by many as the "TIRE MAN", he worked for Goodyear for 42 years. After retiring, the next day he went to work for his son Gary at G&H Motors for 15 year until his health forced him to retire. He was a very hard working man who wasn't afraid to work. Orville enjoyed spending time with his family and he loved to visit with everyone, striking up conversations with anyone. He was always so proud of his family. He was the biggest fan in many of the grandkids activities. We will all miss his fun loving, joking, good natured, non complaining, loyal, honest, happy go lucky spirit, always positive attitude even though his illness saying "there's always somebody in worse shape than I am".Grateful for having shared his life are his wife of nearly 57 years lone, children, Jim, Gary (Val), Brenda (Paul) Monson, Jodi (Steve) Weber, Tami (Todd) Lien all of Sioux Falls, SD, Scott (Quinette) of North Branch, MN; grandchildren, Jamie (Nicole), Missy (Chad), Megan, Ryan (Brandi), Jenna, Ashley, Chelcie, Landen, Ella Jo; great grandchildren, Cody, Masen, Zander, Shelby; sisters, Jo O'Meara, Janice (Lloyd) Drewes, Bernice Schuldt; brother, Clifford (Joanne) Hotchkin, and several nieces and nephews.Orville was preceded in death by his parents, step father, Robert Lidel and nephew, Kevin Schuldt.A celebration of life service will be 10:00am, October 1, 2013 at Heritage Funeral Home..
