Lloyd Dale (Bud) Schuldt
     Lloyd Dale (Bun) Schuldt was born on 25 April 1928 at Dell Rapids, Minnehaha County, SD, USA.1,2 He married Bernice E. Hotchkin at Pipestone Twp, Pipestone County, MN, USA, on 31 December 1949.1 Lloyd Dale (Bun) Schuldt died on 26 January 2005 at Colman, Moody County, SD, USA, at age 76. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sat., Jan. 29, for Lloyd D. "Bun" Schuldt, 76, Colman, who died Jan. 26, 2005, at Dell Rapids Hospital in Dell Rapids. The Rev. Dwaine Doremus will officiate in St. John Lutheran Church at Chester, and burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Chester.

Casketbearers will be Arlan Schmuck, James Hiller, Bill Hiller, Duane Voelker, Marvin Voelker and Jerry Voelker. Honorary casketbearers are grandchildren Sonia Mattison, Jayson Schuldt, Heather Rock, Tina Schuldt, Brian Schuldt, Becky Schuldt, David Maddick, Bethany Maddick, Tyler Schuldt, Danielle Emter and Adam Emter; and great-grandchildren Brianna Mattison, Josh Mattison, Nicole Mattison, Kallie Mattison and Jason Anthony Rock.

Visitation will begin at noon Friday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Ellsworth Funeral Home.

Schuldt was born April 25, 1928, at Dell Rapids to Chris and Palma (Fredrickson) Schuldt. He attended school at Orland and then attended the Rudd Country School in Moody County. He married Bernice Hotchkin on Dec. 31, 1949, at Pipestone, Minn. They farmed near Chester until 1959, when they moved to a farm south of Colman. After he retired, he did mechanic work and restored 48 old John Deere tractors. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Chester.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice of Colman; three sons, Lawrence "Ed" (Deb) of Chester, Douglas (Elaine) of Wentworth, and Kevin of Sioux Falls; two daughters, Melanie (Mike) Maddick of State Center, Iowa, and Connie (Brian) Emter of Foothill Ranch, Calif; his mother, Palma Schuldt of Sioux Falls; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Betty (Willard) Jernigan of Sioux Falls, Norma Koscki of California, Rosie (Charles) Alverson of Chester, and Joyce (Bill) Kunz of Pipestone, Minn; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father..2,3 He was buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, at Chester, Lake County, SD, USA.

     Kevin Robert Schuldt was born on 22 August 1961 at Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, SD, USA.1 He was the son of Lloyd Dale (Bun) Schuldt and Bernice E. Hotchkin. Kevin Robert Schuldt died on 15 September 2006 at Madison, Brookings County, SD, USA, at age 45. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Fri., Nov. 10, for Kevin R. Schuldt, 45, Colman, who died on Nov. 6, 2006, as the result of a motor vehicle accident near Dell Rapids. The Rev. Dwaine Doremus will officiate in the Ellsworth Funeral Home at Madison, and burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Chester. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday, with the family present at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Schuldt was born on Aug. 22, 1961, at Sioux Falls to Lloyd and Bernice (Hotchkin) Schuldt. He was raised in the Colman area and received his GED in Yankton. He worked at the Colman Golf Course and later at National Car Rental and Vern Eide Motors in Sioux Falls. He had worked at Wood Dual Manufacturing in Sioux Falls for the past 11 years.

Survivors include his mother, Bernice of Colman; two brothers, Lawrence "Ed" (Deb) of Chester, and Doug (Elaine) of Wentworth; two sisters, Melanie (Mike) Maddick of State Center, Iowa, and Connie (Brian) Emter of Foothill Ranch, Calif; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
