     Willard was born at RI, USA, in 1801. The 1850 census says NJ but others use RI.. He married Martha (Patty) Stone at NY, USA, in 1827. Willard A. Chapman appeared on the census of 1850 at Paris Twp, Oneida County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Willard Chapman, 48, born NJ, farmer; Patty, 48, born NY; Morris, 22, born NY; joseph, 16, born NY; mary, 14, born NY; maria, 8, born NY; Charles, 11, born NY.. He died in February 1879 at Paris Twp, Oneida County, NY. He was buried at Sauquoit Valley Cemetery, at Clayville, Oneida County, NY, USA.

     Marie's parents are given on her birth records with the Paris Town Clerk.

The census lists the family as: Thomas Morton, 61, born NY; Martha, 45, born NY; Rosetta, 15, born NY; James, 12, born NY; Irving, 8, born NY.. He died on 18 April 1881 at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, at age 81. He was buried at Liberty Cemetery, at Liberty, Sullivan County, NY, USA.

     This family is not clear. Genealogical information shows his mother as Martha but censuses seem to indicate Martha as a wife. They cannot be found in the 1850 census.

A William Hotchkin is listed in the 1840 census of Chester, Warren Co., NY, pg 338; 2 males under age 5, 2 males age 5 to 10, 1 male age 10 to 15, 1 male 15 to 20 and one male age 30 to 40; 1 female age 5 to 10 and 1 female age 30 to 40; but the compiler doesn't believe that this is the same William.
