     Lillian Lawrence was born in 1862 at Sullivan County, NY, USA. Age 7 at the 1870 census of Fallsburg, NY. She was the daughter of Benjamin Tillson Lawrence and Rebecca Everts. Lillian Lawrence died on 8 July 1887 at Sullivan County, NY. Miss Lillian Lawrence, of Divine's Corners, died suddenly on Friday last. She
had been teaching the public school at that place until within a few days of her
death. Her sister and herself had been in the habit of keeping boarders for
several seasons, and Miss Lawrence had worked extremely hard to make
preparations for the accommodation of their expected guests. Her labors at
home, added to the care of her school caused her to be taken ill from exhaustion
and overwork. She was not, however, considered dangerous, and the physician,
who attended her the day before her death prophesied her speedy recovery. Her
funeral on Sunday morning was very largely attended. Her age was 24 years and 3
months. Miss Lawrence was an amiable and intelligent young lady and her loss
will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of her acquaintance. She was
the oldest daughter of Benjamin T. Lawrence, Esq. of Hurleyville.

Mrs. Olive Hornbeck
- Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Liberty for Mrs. Olive R. Hornbeck, who died at her home on North Main Street last Thursday, at the age of eighty-two. Rev. Lloyd B. Gilmour officiated. Burial was in the Hurleyville Cemetery.
Mrs. Hornbeck was born March 19, 1865, the daughter of Benjamin T. Lawrence, and all her life was spent in this vicinity. Her husband, Calvin D. Hornbeck, was for several years county welfare commissioner and supervisor from the Town of Neversink.
Survivors include her husband and two brothers, William Lawrence of Liberty and Charles of Ilion, who published the Sentinel at Hurleyville.. She was buried at Hurleyville Cemetery, at Fallsburgh, Sullivan County, NY, USA.
