     James was born at Whitestown, Oneida County, NY, USA, on 13 July 1795.3 He was the son of Thomas Gould Alvord Jr. and Nancy Scoughton. He married Jerusha Hotchkin at Syracuse, Onondaga County, NY, USA, on 22 March 1823. James Wadsworth Alvord died on 14 February 1867 at Syracuse, Onondaga County, NY, at age 71.3 He was buried at Messina Springs Cemetery, at DeWitt, Onondaga County, NY, USA. James and his wife Jerusha are buried under a tall monument next to the grave of William L. Hotchkin..

     Thomas Gould Alvord was born on 1 March 1742 at Farmington, Hartford County, CT, USA. He married Keziah Orvis at CT, USA, on 2 August 1762. Thomas Gould Alvordserved in 3rd Connecticut Regt., during the Revolutionary War.. Thomas died on 18 May 1810 at Homer, Cortland County, NY, USA, at age 68. He was buried at Atwater Cemetery, at Homer, Cortland County, NY, USA.

     According to DAR File 65958 of Elizabeth B Alvord Robinson; Thomas Alvord Gould entered the service 1777 in the 3rd Continental Regt for the war; was captured and in 1781, exchanged. He also served in the artillery and with his son of age fourteen. They were at West Point and in the trenches at the surrender of Cornwallis.

Thomas Gould Alvord Jr.served in Capt Joe Thomas's Company, Col Lamb 2nd Regt, during the Revolutionary War.. He married Nancy Scoughton at Hartford County, CT, USA, on 17 June 1783. Thomas Gould Alvord Jr. died on 23 June 1835 at Homer, Cortland County, NY, USA, at age 72. He was buried at Atwater Cemetery, at Homer, Cortland County, NY, USA.

     He entered the service in 1777, in the 3rd Connecticut Regt for the war, was captured, and, in 1781 exchanged. He also served in the artillery and with him was a son of fourteen.      Mary was born at MA, USA, in 1785. Age 74 born in MA at the 1860 census. Her obituary said that she was 77 at death.. She married Ozem Blodgett circa 1805. She married George M. Hodgkin at NY, USA, after 1836. Mary (Polly) Anderson died on 30 January 1862 at Smithfield, Madison County, NY, USA.1 She was buried at Davis Corners Cemetery, at Peterboro, Madison County, NY, USA.

     The DAR Records, Vol 182, PG 6, says, "Mary former wife of Ozem Blodget and wife of the late George Hotchkin, died 28 January 1862 in Smithfield, NY." The Madison Morrisville Observer announced her death as Mrs. Polly Hotchkin, mother of Abram Blodgett, died this AM at Smithfield, 30 January 1862, at age 77.1

He married Mary Jane Hotchkin at St Joseph, Berrien County, MI, USA, on 5 January 1898. They were married by James Hamilton MG. Recorded in NH. New Hampshire Marriage Records 1637- 1947..1,2 Gardiner Everett Angier appeared on the census of 1900 at Brooklyn, Kings County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Gardiner F. Angier, oct 1823, 76, married 50 years, born MI, parents born MS; wife Mary S., Nov 1829, 70, married 50 years, born NH, parents born NH; son Gardiner E., Mar 1853, widow, born NY, merchant.. He died in 1933 at Union County, NJ, USA. A boarder in Plainfield, NJ at the 1930 census.. He was buried at Hillside Cemetery, at Scotch Plains, Union County, NJ, USA.

     Most of the information is found in their marriage applications of Berrien County, Michigan. Records indicated that he was born and raised in New York, and that his age at the time of marriage was 44. The name on the grave of his wife and son is Angier. His marriage application stated that his parents were G. F. Augier and Mary Sanborn.

According to Lulu's obituary, they were married on the family farm..1,2 Alfred Carpenter Angus appeared on the census of 1910 at Brooklyn, Kings County, NY, USA. The census lists the family as: Alfred C. Angus, 36, married once, 8 years, born NJ, father born NJ, mother born NY, Mariner, seaman ship; wife Lulu M., 32, married once, 8 years, 5 children, 5 living, born PA, father born NY, mother born PA; dau Cecelia D., 8, born NY; son Alfred D., 7, born NY; son Levi H., 5, born NY, son Douglas E., 3, born NJ, son Austin ?, 2, born NY.. Alfred Carpenter Angus Jr.

Alfred Capenter Angus Jr.
     Alfred was born at Elizabeth, Union County, NJ, USA, on 28 April 1903. He was the son of Alfred Carpenter Angus and Lulu Deziah Hotchkin. Alfred died on 24 March 1970 at Almond, Allegany County, NY, USA, at age 66. He was buried at Prattsburgh Rural Cemetery, at Prattsburgh, Steuben County, NY, USA.

     Alfred retired to the Hotchkin Family farm in Prattsburgh. The house burned while he was living there, along with the Hotchkin Family bible that he had borrowed from Mary Hotchkin Hoag. He moved to Almond, NY where he died.
