     Elias Sherman Hendrick Rev was born on 9 September 1841 at Berkshire, Franklin County, VT, USA.1 He was the son of Hiram Thomas Hendrick and Amy Reynolds. Elias Sherman Hendrick Revserved in Battery C, Ohio 1st Light Art, during the Civil War. He married Mary Rebecca (Bessie) Millard at Hagar Twp, Berrien County, MI, USA, on 22 January 1868. Married by Rev. Rowland Soule at Hager, MI..1 Elias Sherman Hendrick Rev appeared on the census of 1870 at Hagar Twp, Berrien County, MI. The census lists the family as: Sherman Hendrick, 28, born VT, laborer; Betsey, 26, born NY; Ralph, 1, born MI.. He lived in 1906 at Hutchinson, Reno County, KS, USA.1 He died on 20 October 1911 at Hutchinson, Reno County, KS, at age 70. He died of acute bladder infection.. He was buried at Hutchinson Eastside Cemetery, at Hutchinson, Reno County, KS, USA.1

     He served 3 years and 9 months in Battery C, 1st Regt., Ohio Light Artillery and was wounded in the right shoulder at the battle of Chickamauga. He was discharged at Cleveland, Ohio June 14, 1865. He studied for the ministry at Chicago University and served in the Baptist Church at the following locations: Three Oaks, MI 1872, Stoughten, WI 1873- 1876, Hartford, MI 1876- 1878, Pewamo, MI 1878- 1880, St Clair, MI 1880- 1881, Midland, MI 1884- 1886, Bad Axe, MI 1887, Rochester, MI 1888. He was an invalid from March 1889 until his death. He was a Republican.1

The 1850 census says that he is age 3.1 He was the son of James Parker Hendrick and Mary Polly Salls. Elihu Hendrick died on 2 March 1862 at Enosburg, Franklin County, VT, at age 16. Died of scarlet fever..1 He was buried at Enosburg Center Cemetery, at Enosburg Falls, Franklin County, VT, USA. Cemetery records give death as 2 mar 1862 at age 14-8-9 And calls him Elihu II..

     Elihue Thomas Hendrick was born on 6 March 1804 at Enosburg, Franklin County, VT, USA.1 He was the son of Talma Hendrick and Lydia Thomas. He married Relief Thomas at Berkshire, Franklin County, VT, USA, on 30 July 1828.1 Elihue Thomas Hendrick appeared on the census of 1870 at Koylton, Tuscola County, MI, USA. The census lists the family as: Elihu T Hendrick, 65, farmer, born VT; Malissa, 41, born VT; Cyrus, 25, born NY; Milo, 31, born NY; James P., 22, born NY; Lydia, 20, born NY; William H. Bartram, 8, born OH.. He died on 19 October 1890 at Koylton, Tuscola County, MI, at age 86.1

     Talma C. Hendrick personal diary of about 1900. Talma says that Elihu lived in Vermont or Canada until about 1833 when he moved to Eden, Erie Co., NY., and in about 1852 he moved to Ashtabula, OH, and again in 1867 he moved to Koylton, Tuscola Co., MI.1

Born May 23, 1895, in Elmwood township, she was the daughter of Orson and Frances (Downing) Hendrick.
Miss Hendrick and Gordon Finkbeiner were married July 24, 1918, in Caro. The couple made their home in Flint and moved to the Gagetown are in 1930 and to Owendale in 1950. Her husband died April 20, 1951.
Mrs. Finkbeiner is survived by one son, Everett Finkbeiner of Redford; 2 daughters, Mrs. Vivian Agar of Owendale and Mrs. Francis Goslin of Gagetown; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren.
Five children, 5 brothers and 2 sisters preceded her in death.
Rev. Zina Bennett, pastor of Owendale United Methodist Church, will officiate the funeral services. Burial will be in Elkland Cemetery..1 She was buried at Elkland Twp Cemetery, at Cass City, Tuscola County, MI, USA. Obituary
