The death certificate gives his death from Dysentery, bad water. At the time of his death, his parents lived at 159 Adams. The date for his birth given on the death certificate was 15 Feb., 1916; while that given by the clerk at the birth records department of Shelby County was 20 Feb., 1916. This clerk claimed that she couldn't give us a copy of the birth record because it didn't have a given name on it and prior to issueing any records, a parent must go through the procedure of assigning a given name. The Death Certificate calls him Pearce I. Edwards and his father I. I. Edwards. (Both are wrong).
